WM Waste Management Services collects old and unwanted mattresses, bed frames and soft furnishings (such as couches and sofas) from across Victoria and Southern NSW.

We collect mattresses separately to ensure they can be recycled properly. We’ve built a wonderful partnership with Victoria’s biggest mattress recyclers, KTS Recycling. Once we’ve picked up your mattress and other soft furnishings, we’ll take them straight to the nearest KTS Recycling facility.

If you’re capable of transporting your mattresses yourself, we recommend taking them directly to KTS Recycling’s drop-off centres in Coldstream, Wantirna South, Wesburn or Skye.

How many mattresses can you pick up in one go?

We provide bulk collections of up to 200 mattresses and/or soft furnishings in one go. We require a minimum pick-up of 10 items.

Can you remove other hard waste at the same time?

Many councils provide mattress collections as part of their hard rubbish collection services.

Do you provide ongoing mattress removal services?

Yes, we do. While households may only replace mattresses every decade or so, there are businesses and facilities that require regular pick-ups. WM Waste provides scheduled and ongoing mattress collection services for commercial and institutional clients.

How do KTS recycle old mattresses?

After collection, WM Waste delivers mattresses to KTS Recycling. At these facilities, mattresses are shredded into their separate components, including foam, timber and steel springs.

KTS Recycling is an accredited member of the Australian Bedding Stewardship Council (ASBC), which was established to support mattress recycling and reduce landfill waste. WM Waste is proud to work with recycling facilities that share our commitment to environmental responsibility.

   Our team arrives to collect your items. We can handle both small and bulk volumes.
4. Delivery to Recycling Facility
   Items are transported to KTS Recycling to be recycled.
5. Recycling Process
   Mattresses are shredded. Foam, timber and steel springs are separated and recovered.
